Best Email Autoresponder For ClickFunnels – Top 10 Showdown

To cut straight to the point, having tried each one of these email autoresponders with my ClickFunnels account, in my opinion, the best email autoresponder for ClickFunnels is GetResponse.

Best Email Autoresponder For ClickFunnels

GetResponse Logo

Having been a GetResponse subscriber for over a year at the time of writing, I can only say good things about the GetResponse autoresponder. GetResponse comes with a no credit card required 30-day free trial across all four plans which gives you access to every feature of your chosen plan from day one. To be honest, the Basic plan isn’t worth bothering with, it’s very limited as to what you can do with it, and as I’m sure you’re looking to build an automation workflow you have to be on the Plus plan to use this feature. Most autoresponders (Follow-Up Funnels and AWeber included) only have basic workflows like this:

AWeber Email Automation Workflow Example

Whereas GetResponse allows you to build much more complicated workflows like this:

GetResponse Workflow Example

I enjoy having the option of resending a particular email to someone if they haven’t opened it, or removing them from my mailing list if they haven’t interacted with it for some time. ClickFunnels email automation workflows are similar to those of AWeber.

Getresponse Pricing & Features
The image below will show you what features are available on which plan along with the starting price for paying monthly:

GetResponse Monthly Pricing Chart

You also have the option of paying annually or bi-annually to receive a discount. The discount you will receive is 18% for a 12-month subscription and 30% for a 24-month subscription.

GetResponse annual pricing:

GetResponse Annual Billing Price Chart

GetResponse bi-annual pricing: GetResponse bi-annual billing price chart

BEWARE: GetResponse operates a no refund policy! If you pay upfront for 12 months, then decide to leave after 6 months, you will not see a single cent back for the 6 months of subscription that you won’t be using. For this reason, I pay for the monthly subscription. At least I know if ever I did decide to leave them I’ll only lose one month’s money rather than several. Your GetResponse subscription will increase as your list of subscribers increases. The charts below will show you how much each plan increases depending on how often you pay GetResponse.

GetResponse monthly pricing: GetResponse monthly subscription cost chart

GetResponse annual pricing: GetResponse paying annually price chart

GetResponse bi-annually pricing: GetResponse paying bi-annually price chart

Don’t forget to multiply the above amounts by 12 and 24 respectively so you know how much you’ll have to pay in one hit.

The ConvertKit autoresponder offers you a completely free to use plan as well as two paid plans, Creator and Creator Pro.

One thing I really do like about ConvertKit is if you’re on their free plan, they will give you a 14 day free trial of the Creator plan should you choose to upgrade.

If you are on their Free plan and want to build an email automation workflow you will have to upgrade to either the Creator or Creator Pro plans. This is what has stopped me from putting them in my top recommendations for the best email autoresponder for ClickFunnels. You can also have a no credit card required 14 day free trial of both the Creator and Creator Plus plans if you don’t already have a Free account.

You also get a free migration to help you transfer everything over from your current email autoresponder provider.

Does ClickFunnels Have An Autoresponder?

follow up funnels logo

Yes, ClickFunnels does have an autoresponder. The ClickFunnels autoresponder used to be called Actionetics but was recently renamed ClickFunnels Follow-Up Funnels.

Follow-Up Funnels allows you unlimited contacts and unlimited email sending all included in the cost of your subscription. It also offers you the convenience of only having a single online account to log in to so you can run your business from one place.

However, in order to use Follow-Up Funnels, you have to pay for the ClickFunnels’ $297 per month Platinum plan! If you’re on the Basic plan at $97 per month, $200 per month looks like an awful lot of extra money to pay just so you can use an email autoresponder. If you’re looking for a cheaper alternative to ClickFunnels you’re in the right place.

The good news is, there are many alternative automation software providers to ClickFunnels (quite a few actually) to get you started with your email marketing automation services. But, as you’ll see in this article, those “cheaper” alternatives soon become very expensive once your list starts to grow.

There is a lot more offered to you on the Platinum plan than just Follow-Up Funnels. If you’d like to check out what you actually get for your extra $200 on the ClickFunnels Platinum plan see this article: ClickFunnels Pricing

Best Email Autoresponder For ClickFunnels – Conclusion

As you now know, the ClickFunnels Platinum plan is actually very good value for money, especially once your email list is very large, but I understand if you’re just starting out you can get an email autoresponder for much less than the increase in your subscription cost.

Whilst it’s completely your choice which autoresponder software you choose as your email marketing solution, I personally recommend GetResponse and their Plus plan. It’s super simple to use, good value for money, I really do like the workflow automations you can create, and their customer support is excellent.

There is a 30-day free trial that gives you full functionality from day one, so you can try it out for yourself to see if it suits you and your business. Also, I like the fact that you don’t need to provide any payment details to enable you to get the free trial, so you won’t get any surprise charges if you don’t want to carry on with their service.

Click the link below to get your free 30-day trial, completely risk-free!

Alternatively, if you’re after a lower price email service, go with AWeber. It’s totally free to use their basic plan (if you have 500 contacts or less on your email list) and you can have more than one email integration in your ClickFunnels account so you can try both AWeber and GetResponse to see which you prefer.

If I had to pick a third choice I’d go with ConvertKit.
